fearbuddiesWith the Small FEAR deadline coming up, we've gotten some questions about what people should do if they can't finish their projects by the deadline. The answer (for both Small FEAR and Big FEAR) is: let your buddy know, thank them for their support, and have some ice cream.
Your FEARbuddy assignment isn't writing a thing, it's being a buddy. If you can't be a buddy anymore, at any point, do let us know so we can post your recipient as a pinch hit and find them a new buddy. But if you can't write your thing for whatever reason, that's between you and the thing; you don't need to inform us. We understand that life happens and we wish you luck in completing it at some future time.
You may have noticed that "your assignment is being a buddy" means there's no way to complete your assignment on AO3. After the deadline, we'll default everyone so the assignment isn't hanging out on your assignment page forever.
